Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral for mobile physical therapy?

In most states, you can see a physical therapist without a referral through Direct Access laws. However, some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage. We recommend checking with your insurance provider. We're happy to help you navigate this process.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the Greater Metro Area, including all surrounding suburbs within a 25-mile radius. Home visits are available for private residences, workplaces, assisted living facilities, and independent living communities. Contact us to confirm we serve your specific location.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, your therapist will conduct a comprehensive evaluation including a review of your medical history, assessment of your movement, strength, flexibility, and functional limitations, and discussion of your personal goals. Based on this evaluation, they'll create a personalized treatment plan and begin therapy during the same session.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and many others. We also offer competitive self-pay rates and flexible payment plans for those without insurance or with high deductibles. Our team will verify your benefits before your first visit.

How long is a typical session?

Initial evaluations typically last 60-75 minutes. Follow-up treatment sessions are usually 45-60 minutes, depending on your condition, treatment plan, and goals. We always allocate enough time to deliver quality, unhurried care.

What equipment do you bring?

Our therapists arrive with a portable treatment table and a comprehensive kit including resistance bands, weights, balance equipment, and manual therapy tools. We're skilled at using your home environment — stairs, chairs, walls — as therapeutic tools. For specialized equipment needs, we'll discuss recommendations during your evaluation.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We typically can schedule your initial evaluation within 24-48 hours of your call. We understand that timely care is important, especially after surgery or injury, and we prioritize getting you seen quickly.

Can you work with my other healthcare providers?

Absolutely. We believe in collaborative care and will communicate regularly with your referring physician, surgeon, primary care doctor, or other specialists. With your permission, we share progress notes and coordinate your care to ensure everyone is aligned on your treatment goals.
